Dann Pecar Newman & Kleiman Wins Biggest Loser Challenge

(Indianapolis, IN - April 11, 2008) Dann Pecar is the Biggest Loser! For ten consecutive weeks, 21 employees of Indianapolis-based law firm Dann Pecar Newman & Kleiman, P.C., worked toward losing weight and won first place in a "Biggest Loser" weight loss contest. The 10-week challenge was from January 28 through April 7, 2008. The battle of the bulge was between 15 participating local Indianapolis law firms. Each team competed by weighing in once every week and measuring a percentage of weight lost. The weekly weigh-in was based on a percentage (not pounds) of weight lost in order to take into account the differing numbers of participants. Participating law firm teams consisted of 10-40 participants.

Dann Pecar Newman & Kleiman remained undefeated for ten consecutive weeks for the victory win with a total group weight loss of 4.81%, which exceeds last year's record of 3.34%.

"There is no tangible prize for winning," said Maria Clecak, Legal Administrator of Dann Pecar Newman & Kleiman. "However, the winners are our participants who continue to lose weight, exercise, and eat healthier" she said. To help motivate Dann Pecar's employees during the 10-week contest, the firm offered three Simon Mall Visa gift cards for the three "biggest losers" within the firm.

Despite other anonymous firms trying to sabotage Dann Pecar's weekly percentage by sending sweet rolls, cookies, or candy, its team kept up their motivation and discipline, and knocked out the competition.
